Vama Veche is a village in Romania, on the Black Sea coast, near the border with Bulgaria. But that's the hollow official description. What makes it so special ?
In early 90's the resort was a meeting place for hippies and rockers, camping the Black Sea shore in tents. It had a special flavour of wild lifestyle, kinda reminding of Woodstock years. Famous for its nude beach, since the late 1990s Vama Veche has experienced development and gentrification, leading to today's clash between oldstylers (who want to preserve the old flavour) and the new generation if weekend middle class people. The August 2003 festival drew a crowd of about 10,000. The 2005 Stufstock drew a record 40,000-large crowd. Many people think that the place is falling victim of his own celebrity. Now you can find countless restaurants, aquatic enterteinment, concerts and gorgeous womens. Sponsored by http://www.seoexecutive.com/ |
